Philodendron rubrocinctum Platinum

This is a popular tropical houseplant valued for its bright, almost metallic, silver foliage, which evolves from a juvenile silver-green hue to an intense platinum. The petioles and leaf sheaths often display a striking reddish color. 

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light, which is essential to maintain the intensity of the "Platinum" color of its foliage. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn.
• Temperature: Thrives in warm, stable temperatures, ideally between 68-86°F (20-30°C). Protect it from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
• Humidity: Requires medium to high humidity, ideally above 60%. You can increase humidity by using a humidifier, placing the pot on a pebble tray with water, or grouping it with other plants.
• Watering: Water moderately, allowing the top layer of the substrate (about 50%) to dry out between waterings. Avoiding overwatering is crucial to prevent root rot.
