Liquid Comfrey Extract from The Soil Makers is produced in-house using our own comfrey plants grown in soils abundant in minerals. We harvest twice annually, chop the fresh leaves, and blend them with purified water, blackstrap molasses, and lactic acid bacteria. The mixture ferments for 3–6 weeks until sugars are consumed and the pH stabilizes, delivering a concentrated extract designed to nourish soil life and support plant growth.
Packaging: Half-gallon bottle for convenient storage and measured dosing.
How to use (choose the application that fits your garden routine):
- Soil Drench: 1 tablespoon per gallon of water, applied to the soil to feed soil biology and encourage nutrient cycling.
- Foliar Spray: 1/2 tablespoon per gallon of water, sprayed onto leaves to support nutrient uptake through the foliage.
- Compost Booster: 5 tablespoons per gallon of compost—water or spray into the pile to accelerate microbial activity and decomposition.
What makes this Liquid Comfrey Extract unique:
- Homegrown, mineral-rich comfrey: Made from our own plants grown in nutrient-dense soils, delivering natural trace minerals.
- In-house fermentation with lactic acid bacteria: Creates a stable, plant-ready liquid that supports soil biology and nutrient availability.
- Simple, organic-forward formula: Purified water, blackstrap molasses, and a microbial starter provide an approachable, natural nutrient source.
- Versatile for soil, leaf, and compost programs: A single extract supports multiple stages of the garden cycle without synthetic additives.
