Sully is the familiar cacti shown in western films and is the State flower of Arizona. One of the largest and most slow-growing cacti, it can reach heights over 60 feet, live for more than two centuries, and weigh up to 20,000 pounds. These cacti provide a habitat for many desert creatures. They are surprisingly quick to germinate and fast to grow. They thrive in direct sunlight or indirect bright light and need sparse amounts of water. This fun and entertaining kit comes with everything you need, even a collectible plant stake and genuine natural jasper stone- just add water! The natural jasper stone represents the sand that they grow in!

Giant Saguaro Cactus
The Saguaro Cactus is an iconic symbol of the American Southwest! These giant cacti can grow up to 40-60 feet tall and live for more than 150 years. In fact, the first branches (arms) often don't appear until they’re around 50-70 years old! The Saguaro's arms help store water, which is essential for survival in the arid desert. Fun fact: a fully hydrated saguaro can weigh over a ton! Their striking white flowers, which bloom in late spring, are the state flower of Arizona and only open at night to be pollinated by bats. The Saguaro also plays a critical role in desert ecosystems, offering shelter and food to various animals, including birds that nest in the cactus’ thick flesh. Despite its tough exterior, the Saguaro is highly sensitive to frost, which can kill the plant. This majestic cactus is a true desert survivor!
