The foliage forms a neat mound, & the leaves are bright green with interesting darker patterning. Geraniums repel a variety of garden pests such as the dreaded Japanese beetle, cabbageworms, & leaf-hoppers, so they make an excellent companion plant for crops such as corn & cabbage or other flowers like roses or hibiscus. They also repel mosquitos & have an good tolerance for heat & dry conditions, so make an excellent patio container plant. They attract beneficial insects like bees & butterflies, & they also make a great cut flower.
