Ping roots need access to moisture but pings do not like sitting in boggy or super wet conditions. They can be prone to rot and do better when the soil is moist but not saturated and boggy. You want your ping soil mix to be wet but never saturated with water. This blend does a great job of staying wet but not soggy. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePre Rinsed \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis blend is hand mixed and hand rinsed by me personally. I use distilled and pure water to rinse the impurities out of the substrate blend. The glass, perlite and pumice are rinsed before blending with the peat moss. Once blended, the mix is rinsed again. It's then fully dried and bagged as ordered. Don't allow your pings to sit in soil mixes that contain high counts of dissolved solids and salts. Not many ping soil providers pre rinse their substrate before sending it to you.
