Dendrobium Nobile and Yellow Leaves

“The leaves are yellow and dropping”

If your Dendrobium Nobile has yellow leaves or it is dropping leaves, please do not be concerned. This is a normal phase in its development.

Dendrobium Nobile orchids lose their leaves during their dormant season in the fall and winter. This is because they are deciduous, which means they shed their leaves annually. Before the leaves fall off, they may turn yellow or develop spots.

Growth pattern: Dendrobium Nobile orchids grow a lot in the spring and summer, then stop growing in the fall.

Flowering: The loss of leaves is a sign that the orchid is preparing to flower or entering its dormant cycle.

Care: During the dormant season, you should reduce watering and stop fertilizing the orchid.

Light: Too much light can scorch the leaves, while too little light can cause the leaves to reach for something.

Airflow: Ensure the orchid has enough airflow.
